Hey Alex.
Small world, eh... I recently saw you interviewed on this U.K Pocket PC site: http://www.pdapro.co.uk/insideout.htm Like I say, a small world... there I am thinking about getting myself a Pocket PC, and jump on-line to do some 'research'. While searching the Microsoft Pocket PC newsgroup, I find a post by someone recommending your software and also the link above. There's more... As I start researching, I notice Pocket PC includes Pocket IE, and start thinking about ways in which sites can be made 'Pocket IE-friendly'... Now, can anyone suggest a place where I might pose such a question, and feel confident that I'd get numerous informed, well thought-out answers? A mailing list, perhaps, where the contributors collectively excel in all aspects of Web development; browser compatibility, Javascript, XML, Flash; the list goes on. Sorry, I'm going all Gwineth... ;) Jon -----Original Message----- From: Alex Kac [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] Sent: 15 July 2002 19:59 To: Multiple recipients of list witango-talk Subject: Re: Witango-Talk: Dilemma... Very nice. I might be very tempted to come back to Witango if I can write my apps in Witango and deploy to the j2ee server that comes with XServe. Now the key is when will the j2ee compiler be ready AND its cost... I've never been a big fan of ColdFusion - even the latest incarnations strike me funny, though I honestly have NOT looked at them to far. But cost is a huge factor to me here as the competition is priced well. -- Alex Kac, CEO/Developer Innovation in Personal and Business Information Management http://www.pocketinformant.com/ zoomzoom > From: "Scott Cadillac" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> > Reply-To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] > Date: Mon, 15 Jul 2002 11:31:17 -0700 > To: Multiple recipients of list witango-talk <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> > Subject: Re: Witango-Talk: Dilemma... > > ( I apologize for posting this twice, but I suspect my first post may have > been chopped up by our POS GroupWise Mail Server). > > Hi Alex - it's good to read that you are still around. > > I can appreciate what you are after.
