Have you checked the data? I have seen this happen if the data ends in a one of the array delimiters , or ; Ie. 1,2,3,4,5, or 1,2,3,4,5;

We've even had a query with three IS IN functions fail -- the first IS IN showed a string of comma-separated values (what you'd expect), but the other two arrays appeared as HTML tables.
