I Ben, I'm sucking in the data from a search action and assigning it to a variable. What you say makes sense but I don't think it applies in this case.

After dumping out the <@SQL> statement to the browser it seems that the array used in the IS IN is coming back as an HTML table of values, rather than an array. We've even had a query with three IS IN functions fail -- the first IS IN showed a string of comma-separated values (what you'd expect), but the other two arrays appeared as HTML tables. This is driving us nuts!
