Hello,
Dave:
I
haven't followed this thread. If you'd like to post the details, directly
answering all the most important questions, I'll try and take a look at
it.
--
Platform, OS
-- are
the settings at the default
-- are
you using user reference arguments faithfully or relying on
cookies
--
send me a sample of your code and a repeatable example of some in-service code,
with the URL, that misbehaves and the steps to make it do so (if this is
repeatable).
It is
possible, for example, that you are experiencing some issue with a particular
browser, if you are relying on cookies, or perhaps there is a security setting
that is messing you up. Is this an Internet (uncontrolled user-base) or an
Intranet (browser and version subject to corporate controls)? What browser
version causes it to mis-behave? Is it the same across all
browsers?
Let's
give it some thought before concluding that Witango is the
culprit.
If
this has been discussed on the list at length, please just send me the above
details in an offline note. If it's been discussed but not summarized for
all to review, send it to the list.
As for
Phil and Sophie, they are likely on light duties through the Christmas break,
like the rest of us.
Warning: I'm actually on a bit of a break, so my responses could take a
day or two.
Be
well,
Ian

From: Dave Machin I'm getting worried about With Enterprises ability
to perform customer support for WiTango. I've had an issue (that I'd
posted to this list first) where my user variables disappear between one page
and the next, randomly. I've emailed With about the issue and did get a
response from Phil and Sophie offering a new patch to the server to see if the
problem went away. It didn't and I replied as such. But I haven't
heard anything back nor have I got a response to subsequent emails to
them. As it stands, we've paid for the upgrade to the new version but I
can't use it because this issue is so severe. I'm wondering if there's a
better way to go about getting customer support for the product?
