Hi everybody and thanks for the replies,
I used the last Witango app server package I downloaded from witango.com site.

I also check with my technician the environment characteristics you mentioned (limited amount of RAM, Network settings or Processor affinity) and it seems all right. I don't what he, the technician, means with "it's all right" but I (have) trust him.

I always installed UltraVNC server on my VMWare server and I used it to connect to my server but nothing changed in my Witango installation.

I tried to open an installation incident with Witango support (my PIN is a bit old anyway) and any other idea is welcome.

Thanks
Francesca

You're both right, I think.

I don't use VMWare's ESX Server product myself, but I believe the Remote Console is one of the methods used to interact with a particular ESX "instance" (local and/or remote), which is where the Server software is running. As I understand it, other Remote software can also be utilized with ESX.

I do use VMWare Workstation everyday though, and have never had a problem with it with regards to Witango (any version).

Could it be there is something unusual about the environment configuration of the ESX instance that Witango doesn't like? Like limited amount of RAM, Network settings or Processor affinity?

And do you have the latest installer for 5.5?

Hope that helps.

PS. Thank you Ben, for the earlier compliment.

I Know that but if you look at the image closer, apparently they
added a remote element to it.

but still, apparently it is not emulating the environment well enuf.

VMware isn't a remote admin package... It's a virtualization
program. It allows you to run virtual servers (even of other
platforms) on the machine it's installed on.

looks to me like VMware is getting in the way of the install.

I like the remote admins that are least intrusive like

RAdmin or VNC

Just a thought

Hello,
I've got problems installing Witango 5.5.009 on Windows 2003.
When I launch the exe file for installing on a Windows Server
Professional 2003 (SP1) I suddenly get an error with code
(-5006 : 0X80004005). I include the screen capture and the text
file with the detailed error description.

Anyone have ever experienced a problem like this?

Thanks in advance
