I know that there are many options that will come up (and searching
the post archives is a good start - it's certainly been discussed
before). I've been using two things lately -
Google Analytics (free, but you don't have the data on your own
servers and you must have a gmail account to access). Very simple to
implement, updates daily and lots of great reports.
The 'owned' version that has been discussed here before is also still
available and we just bought a copy at North: Urchin Software was
purchased by Google and I believe is the basis for Google Analytics.
The version you can buy from a reseller is entirely hosted on your
own server and reads in log files rather than gathering data from a
JS include as the Google version does. It costs $900 (one time fee,
not yearly) and allows up to 100 sites. Additional blocks of 100
sites costs $100. So far it has very little server resource overhead
and is extremely easy to set up and use, and you can easily set up
access for other users and grant them pretty granular access to
reports or groups of reports. I've been using an ISP version of
NetTracker up to now, and I think this is far cheaper and so far a
better solution.
I know there are also a bunch of other options, but I needed one that
runs on our servers and lets us keep the data and also set up reports
that aggregate information from more than one site. It has lots of
export and charting options too.

What are you all using out there? Cost is defintely a factor. This
