They are used by the underlying WiX MSBUild target which is
responsible for building the solution in MSBuild. IIRC it is
C:\Program Files (x86)\MSBuild\Microsoft\WiX\v3.x\wix200x.targets for
NET35 and wix2010.targets for .NET 40.
