Hey There-

I am trying out wsftp 7.04 expressly for the ability to schedule
synchronization. I am impressed with this functionality, except for one
problem. Is there any chance I'm just missing something in the form of a
config option?

Basically, I am doing a local --> remote sync, and I want the sync tool to
do the updates without first ls'ing through all of the remote
subdirectories. (the "retrieving remote directory information" step)

The details:

   -local folder contains 5-10 subfolders.
-remote folder contains several hundred subfolders,
many of which are owned by others. (so I do a "non-deleting" update)

The problem is, the sync utility insists on traversing all of those remote
subfolders, turning what should be a 15-second sync into a 10-minute one and
generating an unacceptable amount of extra ftp traffic.

I thought setting the "force update of destination" might fix this, but no.
any tips?
