Which version of the WS FTP Pro client are you using, I just tested it
using the directory C:\program files (Entered exactly like that) and it
worked fine, I'm using version 2006.0.1.0 which is the version where
they added local folders back into the client after they had it removed
in ver 2006.

Subject: [WS_FTP Forum] Local Folder Problem

A problem with WS_FTP Professional:

Under Site Manager, I have a number of automated connections, all of
which work, but with
one very annoying glitch.

Under "Site Options/Local folder:", I cannot seem to get WS_FTP
Professional to
automatically open a local folder whose name has more than one word.

For example, I want to automatically open and display my local folder
"\IPAD betas" (which
is a valid existing local folder).

So, I've tried all of the following, (none of which work):

\IPAD betas (which opens "\IPAD" - also a valid local folder, but the
wrong one) "\IPAD betas" (which opens "C:\" C:\IPAD betas (which opens
"\IPAD" "C:\IPAD betas" (which opens "C:\"

I've also tried ending each of the above paths with a slash (such as
"\IPAD betas\", and
using the reverse slash "/" instead, all to no avail.

I've even tried renaming the local directory "\IPAD_betas", but using
that in "Local
folder" still takes me to the "\IPAD" folder.

Is this a bug in WS_FTP, or am I missing something crucial here?

Best regards
Jon
