Well, we have the same version and I created the dir named c:\program
and it did exactly what you said, It seems kind of buggy because I
noticed it does flash the correct directory in the Local Dir box then
changes to the incorrect dir. I tried even using the 8.3 naming
convention (i.e.. Progra~1) and it didn't recognize that either, sorry I
couldn't help you, I think Ipswich monitors these emails for input so
hopefully that'll be fixed.

    Thanks for your reply, Frank.

    Mine says it's version 2006.0.1.0 - 2005.8.19.

    And here's the deal with your example:

    Try creating a local directory called "C:\Program", then tell me how
to get WS_FTP Pro 
to automatically go to "C:\Program Files".  I can't discover any way to
make that happen.
