Which version of the WS FTP Pro client are you using, I just tested it
using the directory C:\program files (Entered exactly like that) and it
worked fine, I'm using version 2006.0.1.0 which is the version where
they added local folders back into the client after they had it removed
in ver 2006.

Mine says it's version 2006.0.1.0 - 2005.8.19.
And here's the deal with your example:
Try creating a local directory called "C:\Program", then tell me how to get WS_FTP Pro
to automatically go to "C:\Program Files". I can't discover any way to make that happen.
