When preparing a proposal for a potential client or trying to convince your management, what are the tried and true methods used by WSG members to convince them that coding to web standards is a plus for their organisation?
I can think of a few to start with:
* Lower data transfer volumes as pages coded with DIV and SPAN tags + CSS for presentation are usually smaller in size and the CSS will be cached
* Coding to standards lowers testing time in the umpteen available browsers (in my experience) as pages coded to standards tend to work more out "out of the box" than older style table layout and font tag coded pages
