Belive it or not, I propose, here in Quebec, my experience as web standard
designer ( XHTML table-less, CSS, DOM, Javascript) and no companies were
interested. It seems I was talking a foreign langage. I believe, in
general, that companies are not open minded for new ways of working. If
there were more companies interested in web standard may be schools of
design, would be more attentive to explain to students the Web Standard. I
believe that software like DreamWeaver doesn't help us to promote web
standard. Pages made with DreamWeaver are rarely standard, even their
javascript are sometimes buggy. Some companies, can not imagine what can
we do without DreamWeaver just with simpleText or NodePad and using Web
Standard.
To my opinion, I think that - may be I am wrong- a new SoftWare as Quark
Xpress which give you a standard result and which work in a table-less way
will be a good idea. That is why, I work this year to create this kind of
SoftWare. It will be ready in December. I Hope that it will give the
opportunity, even for people who are not still familar with web standard,
to create web standard table-less pages.
