Hi Tony, I didn't even know there was such a thing as SERP factor. I get an average of 4000 visitors a day now on my main site. I have been told that if I make too many changes on my site I could loose my ranking with Google. I mentioned only 2 words that bring me front page on Google. I have tracked down dozens of other words that are from my site but NOT my front page such as: insurance jokes yes virginia how to bake a potato waldorf salad, etc. Just thinking I could loose my ranking has stopped me from changing a bunch (mainly recipes) pages over to Web Standards.
