Hi Chase, Greg, and all,
We are not going to provide hand-holding that tries to cover every
possible combination of radio, interface device, connection path, etc.
As I see it, though, it may be useful to provide a list of settings
known to work well with particular radios.
I don't understand the reason for including come of the items presently
in the "rig-config-template" document.
The callsign of the person submitting the information might make sense,
but why include "MyGrid"?
In a page for, say, the Kenwood TS-2000, why include such user-optional
things as whether or not to activate PSK Reporter, CW ID after 73, Tx
Split, etc?
Why have entries for PTT method, CAT port, Audio devices, etc., which
depend on a user's interface device and computer setup, but not on the
radio type?
Maybe I don't understand something about what Greg had in mind.
