Hi Pino, As your using Mint, it is pretty staight forward. You can either build it with JTSDK-Nix, or, the easier way, install WSPR via PPA which I will explain below.
Install Via PPA, which is the latest in SVN r4889: * At your desktop, open a terminal: Ctrl+Alt+T * Add the PPA..: sudo add-apt-repository ppa:ki7mt/wspr * Accept the PGP Key * Update.......: sudo apt-get update * Install......: sudo apt-get install wspr That's it. To Run WSPR: * Go to Menu >> Sound & Audio * Double Click on WSPR or * From the command line, open a terminal (Ctrl+Alt+T) * At the prompt, type: wspr Edit your settings, making sure you save them: File >> Save User Parameters Note: When running from the command line, you may see some errors like: ALSA lib pcm.c:2239:(snd_pcm_open_noupdate) Unknown PCM cards.pcm.rear bt_audio_service_open: connect() failed: They can be ignored. The warnings can be fully eliminated, but its not really necessary. This is not a WSPR issue. They are almost always present, we just don't see them as rarely do apps run from the terminal. On my Mint 17.1 install, I use the Navigator interface, so I set the USB CODECS to be the default sound device in the sound panel *before* running any digital apps(WSPR, WSJT, WSJTX, FLDIGI etc). This saves allot of frustration with ALSA and PAV controls issues. 73's Greg, KI7MT On 04/11/2015 02:59 PM, Pino Zollo wrote: > > > El 11/04/15 a las 08:49, [email protected] escribió: >> Content-Type: text/plain; charset="utf-8" >> >> Hi Pino, >> What distribution and version are you using? >> The posted version wspr_2.11r2263_i386.deb is a bit dated and should >> probably be updated.
