Hi Pino, I've seen similar errors, but I do not know what the root cause is.
I narrowed it down to portaudio not allowing the change of device names, and / or the use of ~/.asoundrc, but that's why I just set my desired sound device to default and leave it that way. To the best of my knowledge, this is not a WSPR specific issue. 73's Greg,.
