Hi Joe, Rex and All
Yes, this is the "problem": "Misbehaviour is Halt not 'disarming' Enable TX (which stays red after pressing Halt ) so that on the next TX sequence the program still transmits. After a Halt press while transmitting, transmit audio tones do stop immediately (and PTT puts rig back on receive) but yellow status message shows Txing until t=50s, when it changes to indicate receiving." Additionally, if TX Enable is red, and Halt pressed during a receive period, it also stays red. I just built r5598 and found it to have the "problem" - machine is Win7 64bit. The recipe to see it is just normal operation of the program. I've tried it with radio connected normally, no radio selected, with/without Astro window open and several modes and behaviour is identical. Enable TX does toggle as expected. It does not affect normal operation. To finish a QSO and cease further transmission I toggle Enable back to not red. In the past I had just used Halt. [I had got used to using Enable for 3 sec then Halt to transmit and receive a single EME echo, but this is not now possible (instead a toggle of Tune works fine)]. I notice also that the message next to the green timer always says "TX enable disarmed" at all times. IN the past on earlier releases I recall this message changed according to the state of TX Enable. At home, Vista 32 bit, all earlier releases up to a certain time, behave "correctly". Recent ones and certainly r5586, have the bad behaviour. There is one release I have that has different behaviour on the two computers - if that is of interest I will try to identify which version that is. 73 Charlie ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ _______________________________________________ wsjt-devel mailing list wsjt-devel@lists.sourceforge.net https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/wsjt-devel
