Mike, For information. I use a Kenwood TS-870 and I can interrogate the power level with hamlib via "l RFPOWER" to read or "L RFPOWER n" to set. The value returned is in the range 0 to 1. Whether 1 means 100W or less depends on the initial setting of the audio level. Since output power is a function of both rig setting and audio level it is not clear how you would be able to deduce actual power out with every rig unless a direct power level is available.
For Rig setting I use Hamlib NET rigctl which, following a suggestion from Bill, leaves me free to send network commands to the rig (ie set RF level) without interfering with what WSJT-X might be doing. I do arrange the audio level to generate 100W output when RF level is set to 1. I find that the scale is more or less linear so it is simple to select a much lower power as needed. --- John G4KLA ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ _______________________________________________ wsjt-devel mailing list wsjt-devel@lists.sourceforge.net https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/wsjt-devel
