so I can determine what is happening here is an instrumented version of WSJT-X: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/4192709/wsjtx-1.7.0-devel-win32-r6599-CAT-trace.exe install it, no need to un-install, and run a minimal test that reproduces the issue then quit the application. It will have produced a trace log file: %TEMP%\WSJT_X_trace.log send it to me, off the list, for analysis please? The easiest way to locate the trace file is to type %TEMP% into the Windows start screen/menu. The issue with the "Pwr" slider changing is probably the feature where an audio level different from normal setting may be set for "Tune" output. This is enabled by adjusting the "Pwr" slider during tune operation with the SHIFT key held down.
