I see a "Enable monitor on band/mode change" option perhaps?
Or actually just leave monitor alone. Let it stay the way it's set. Not sure
I see the advantage of turning it on automatically. In normal operating mode
you just leave it on anyways so most people wouldn't even notice that it gets
turned on during band changes.

I frequently run with Monitor off at startup, most commonly when working
on decoder development or optimization. In those circumstances I'm
generally using pre-recorded .wav files, and I don't want Monitor to
mess up the waterfall or call the decoders at the end of a UTC minute, etc.
