Hi Pino, the Debian and RPM packages we supply with releases are built on the latest stable releases of Ubuntu and Fedora. These are chosen because they have reasonably large user bases. For WSJT-X v.1.70-rc2 Ubuntu 16.04 LTS and Fedora 24 were the versions used. These packages will work on those systems but may well not work on other distributions or versions. If you are not running one of those two then you will either have to wait for a package manager to package WSJT-X v1.7.0-rc2 for your distribution or build from source yourself.
