Some examples of the inaccuracy with ALL.TXT log data to show what they should
be would help. People are contacting you directly instead of the mailing
list?Could this be off for fast mode protocols maybe?
The concept was this:
The Dx call box and Tx1 or Tx 6 does not indicate the start of a QSO. You may
hang on somebody waiting to jump in after your first attempt....and of course a
CQ is no indication of start time. You could argue the start time could be the
DX Call box after a CQ...that's a possibility though it may actually be off by
a minute or two depending on when you click the response (past the minute for
example so your CQ would have been two minutes ago). The end time is supposed to
be when the Log window comes up....looks like that's what it does to me in
on_logQSOButton_clicked()
At least in my theory the start time of two people in a QSO should be the
same.So...Tx 2 substract 2 time periods which should match the CQ time.Tx 3
subtracts 3 time periods which should match the CQ time.

Subject: [wsjt-devel] WSJT-X: QSO start and end times
Hi All,
I am looking at the code for setting the start and end times of QSOs
because I've had reports of it not being as accurate as it should be. It
does seem a bit overcomplicated.
I don't see why it should not be that the start time is when the DX call
box gets changed and the end time is when the QSO is logged.
Can someone explain why it is not just that?
