I've just done a bit more playing with this.
r7822 Ubuntu 16.04 K3S USB CAT Tx Delay = 0.0s I use rigctld-wsjtx and have noticed that the delay is worse when other clients are polling it. I can get the delay down to about 1 second by removing other clients and reducing rigctld's poll_interval from the default 500ms to zero, thus: ./rigctld-wsjtx -vvv -m 229 -r /dev/ttyUSB1 -poll_interval 0 This seems to be quite a bit quicker than controlling the rig directly from WSJT-X. Does the minimum 1s poll interval in WSJT-X not apply with NET rigctl? I'm not yet sure how stable it will be with poll_interval removed. As far as the FT8 protocol is concerned, what's the optimium delay for audio to start after 0/15/30/45sec clock time? 73, Richard G4DYA ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Check out the vibrant tech community on one of the world's most engaging tech sites, Slashdot.org! http://sdm.link/slashdot _______________________________________________ wsjt-devel mailing list [email protected] https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/wsjt-devel
