All 3 modes (None, Rig Split, and Fake It) work in all modes.
Has nothing to do with Fox/Hound or anything other than the Tx offset you have
in the waterfall. The idea is to keep your audio signal always in the 1500-2000
Hz range from the frequency on your rig.
So if you transmit, for example, 1400 offset the rig will set transmit 500Hz
lower so your audio appears at 1900Hz.  Everybody that receives you still sees
1400Hz since they are tuned 500Hz higher than you are.
If you drop to 900 you'll see 1000Hz offset.  Opposite direction occurs when
going above 2000.  This is also how you can transmit to somebody above the
bandwidth your rig since audio is always in the 1500-2000Hz range.
Turn on Rig Split and shift-tclick in the different 500Hz regions in the
waterfall and you should see VFOB tracking the 500Hz changes.

Thanks Mike. Manual not real clear about what “fake it” actually does. I
assume the tx shifting is coordinated to match the 1000Hz mark in Fox/Hound
mode. Or, is “fake it” not appropriate for that mode? Did not get to a Fox
anytime during today’s test to see.

It will switch in 500Hz increments if you are below 1500 or above 2000.
Look for "Split Operation" in the Help that explains it.
