Possible Bug Report Could be hamlib related.
Version current: 2.0.0-rc5
Discovered Both 1.9 and 2.0 rc5
OS:Debian Linux 9 stable and Testing
Fake Split Mode not communicating with CAT Correctly. Using Custom DDS
Arduino VFO with Yeasu ft-857D Cat Support... Could be something on my
end as well due to the software Combo I'm using. When I get connected to
rigctl from wsjt-x the fake split works when I tune, and it works
correctly when I'm hooked into a windows machine using HRD. When I
start transmitting with fake split connected to hamlib-Linux the TX
stops and Freq jumps usually up into 800 MHZ range, I can click the freq
drop-down and get right back but can't seem to use the fake split. I
have been testing the program without the fake split and seems to be ok,
which leads me to believe it could be hamlib and the communication back
and forth doesn't seem to sync fast enough, Prob hamlib it's pretty
buggy itself.
I really love the FT8 mode and all the work that has gone into the
WSJT-X software. When I read what fake split does I found that it's a
great idea to get the signal in the passband for less filter roll off.
My goal is to get everything I can possible to run with Linux and my
Radio. I run an old Kenwood ts-520 and I built a digital VFO just
because I wanted to stable VFO for FT8.
