When I encountered this behavior, I checked the WSJT-X.ini file. I found
that some of the new Configuration entries were in the file, but not
all. And there were a few new entries that had %26 in the name.
I tried deleting the bogus entries from the file, but the program just
put similar ones back the next time I ran it.

Hi Marco,
if you are concerned about configurations becoming corrupted after an
upgrade you can always backup the settings, it is all in a single
file, WSJT-X.ini for the default instance (started with no '-r'
option). On Linux it is in the configuration directory which is
~/.config/
