I’ve been thinking of commenting on this action myself. I’m glad someone else
brought it up. While my desires wouldn’t necessarily be the same as someone
else’s, it could be a configuration check mark. See below.

I don’t care to see random text in the right part of the screen, just because
someone lands on a frequency where the green RX bracket happens to be. In
fact, I’d rather not have it go to the location where I double click to answer
someone’s CQ. I don’t need it there. If he answers me, the program will
recognize that and decode it without moving the receive focus. My normal
routine is the park the receive frequency well above the highest incoming
signal (i.e. 2900). I only want to see my own and the text of the station
sending text to me on the right side of the screen. Anything else can be seen
on the left. To accomplish this, I double click on the station I want to
answer and then immediately move the receive bracket to 2900 or higher. It
would be nice to have a check box that would allow me to set it where I want it
and have it stay there, even when double clicking someone to call them. It
would be just like the Hold Tx Frequency check box.

I realize this may not be something everyone would want to do, but Allan’s post
brought it to the top again, so I’m running it up the flag.
