Hi Gary, I totally agree with you. It was also my purpose, to keep my own communication in the right window without seeing previous QSO partner's new calls. As you say - it can be seen in the left window. This could be done by a check mark in the settings "Set RX frequency to TX frequency" after a QSO when "Enable TX" is pressed - if desired. With this option you only need to press Enable TX after every QSO instead of two buttons (down arrow). But we are not the decision makers. :-) The other comments from Bill are taken into account. ;-)

The Rx offset goes your QSO partners frequency for two reasons, firstly because that directs messages decoded at that offset to the Rx Frequency decodes window, and more importantly the decoder tries first and harder to decode at that offset. This is possible because more resources can be spent on decoding the most likely spot before trying everywhere else in the decoder passband. I’m aware that the receive frequency receives priority resulting in a slight improvement in sensitivity and also gets decoded first. It was/is my understanding that this is only a slight improvement in sensitivity. If you do not want to see decodes in the Rx Frequency windows then drag the splitter bar between the windows to the right until you can't see it any more, that way you will not be crippling the decoder whenever you work another station. Sounds good on paper, but then I can’t see what I want to see there. :) No problem, Bill. I thought I would bring it up. I would just prefer to see no traffic other than something to or from myself on the right side. Everything else is available on the left. Not a show stopper at all. 73, Gary - AG0N _______________________________________________ wsjt-devel mailing list [email protected] https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/wsjt-devel
