Hi Cornel,
your question is not really related to WSJT-X. Most remote desktop tools
try and reroute audio devices to the local PC, if WSJT-X is expecting to
use those audio devices then it is going to be unable to operate. I do
not know if, or how, you might stop this happening, but as a first
guess; make sure you are not using the default audio devices with
WSJT-X. There may be settings in the vnc server configuration to stop
audio devices being rerouted.
P.S. please start a new conversation thread on the mailing list when you
have a new query, replying to an existing unrelated topic and changing
the subject do not start a new thread, and is most unhelpful when trying
to manage many conversation threads.

Hi,
I'm not sure, if this issue has its reason in wsjtx, but perhaps
there's a solution anyway:
2 PC with Ubuntu 20.04
1 is connected via USB soundcard to my rig
1 is downstairs in the living room, also Ubuntu 20.04.
When sitting in front of my PC where the rig is connected, I can
chose the USB audio source and everything works fine.
When I get on this pc via remmina or tightvnc or others, I can start
wsjtx, but doesn't get any audio sources, but a Dummy audio.
Any idea what to change in my settings, that my remote session can
access to the local USB audio? Or is it a setting in wsjtx?
Thanks and cheers from Germany
