Transmit start delay - My 2 cents worth:
I too have the transmit sequence start delay problem. For me, it started
with version 2.4 GA. I did not have the issue with version 2.4 rc4. I also
have the problem with version 2.5 rc1. I have about a 1 second transmit
delay. I can hear other stations start their xmit cycle for about a second,
then mine kicks in. (My clock is pretty accurate, I use a GPS hockey puck to
sync time.) It does this on two different radios, one a K3, the other a K3S,
on two different computers, both running Windows 10 fully updated. One
additional odd symptom, I hear a slight pop in the speaker just before going
into transmit. It's like the T/R switching is off slightly. Both radios do
this. In Settings/Radio/PTT Method is CAT. In Settings/Radio/Split Operation
is Fake It. In Settings/Radio/Mode I normally have it set for Data/Pkt. Both
Radios/Computers fail set like this. If I change Settings/Radio/Mode to
None, it quits failing, there is no xmit sequence delay, there is no pop in
the speaker. But set to None I have no mode set control via CAT, so that's
not too great. What changed between 2.4 rc4 and 2.4 GA? Is it the hamlib
file? Thanks...

Jeff - K5WE
