That also works for me.

I would say that what WSJT-X refers to as "Configurations" are commonly called "Profiles".

Hi Alan,

both of your suggestions fall at the first hurdle since WSJT-X
Configurations are neither presets nor are they specific to modes.

Could I suggest a change of name from "Configurations" to something a
bit more intuitive, maybe "User preset modes" or "User presets"?
Might help with understanding their power.

As an EME operator I find a couple things that is lacking when using
WSJT-X.

Comparing a missing feature to WSJT10 for example, it is very nice
to have the ability to see the Astronomical Data panel. Not everyone
will want this if not operating EME so could it be a check box in
Settings?

Not sure what you're asking for, here. Is it something other than
checking "Astronomical data" on the "View" menu?

WSJT-X provides far more options here than are available on WSJT v10,
though you probably won't need most of them for EME on 2m.

A second thing I find that always trips me up is selecting which Q65
mode setting, i.e. A, B, C etc should be used . If on 6 or 2 meters
as an example could the band chosen also set the mode sub letter? I
guess the same requirement exists on JT65 as well.

Q65 is used for many other purposes as well as EME, so it doesn't
make sense to select a submode (or T/R sequence length) by band.

What DOES make sense is to use the "Configurations" menu to set up a
Configuration for each mode you use regularly. For example, a
"Q65 EME 2m" configuration. Starting in or switching to this
configuration would always put you in your selected submode.

When I see good traces and no decodes, it is often because I didn’t
go check the letter each time. Where this becomes more apparent and
demanding is when switching back and forth from a station using Q65
and then another using JT65.

Don't switch modes. Switch Configurations.

MAP65 3.0 is now working just fine on the Delta 44 multi WDM-KS
setting. Thanks for your help.

Happy to hear that you're up and running with MAP65 3.0 !
