Hi Andreas,

Have you read the full-length paper about Echo mode in WSJT-X 2.6.0 and later? See item #34 in the list of WSJT-related references here: https://wsjt.sourceforge.io/refs.html .

As described there, in Echo mode the transmitted audio-frequency tone should always be 1500 Hz.

I posted my initial question on the groups.io list as well, but Charlie, DL3WDG

This is reproducible. In Echo Mode right click in the Wide Graph and select “Set RX
& TX Offset” it seems to change the TX.

Steps:
- In the radio settings set "Split Mode" to Radio or Fake (No difference)
- Select "Echo Mode"
- Select 23 cm -> 1296.065 (Default)
- Select Doppler Tracking mode to "Own Echo"
- Display shows 1296.065 +/- My Doppler
- Enable TX
- The frequency will initially show 1296.06500 and the immediately change to
1296.064500
- On RX the frequency goes back to the correct 1296.06500 +/- Doppler
- The Echoes will be shown at the @1000 offset and not @1500, which is
expected, but wrong.

After a few tries I found that selecting “Set RX & TX Offset” in the Wide Graph

If I click on @1000 I get 64.5000, @1500 65.0000, @2000 65.5000

The audio should be fixed at @1500 and the Set RX & TX feature should be
ignored.

I think this if half of the feature that keeps the audio in the sweet spot of
the bandpass? However, it does not do the necessary 2nd step of shifting the
audio to adjust for it.
