I think I have found a workout deal that might suffice. Instead of trying to reserve a room ( 6am and 10pm being the only times), the rec center has a class that is called "Sports Conditioning" and it meets every monday and wednesday at 7:50 in Room B. Here is a description of the class:
Sports Conditioning (1-1.5 hour): You don’t have to be an athlete to train like one. If you are looking to gain speed, agility, strength and power, this is the class for you. Use a variety of equipment such as agility ladders, plyo boxes, flex stretch bands, and your own body weight to get an intense total body workout.
I talked the person who runs the class and I believe this could be very beneficial. I plan on going to the class this wednesday night and try it out. If interested come along. I don't think you will be disappointed.
