Better choose here a directory outside of wxArt2D. All that you did 
wrong sofar, is now mixed up with your checkout of C:\wxArt2D
Remove it all and do a re checkout, to be sure you have all from scratch.
Also get a new Visual Studio, you should know where ;-)

Oke if you compiled with some very old version of visual studio, i do 
not know how wxWidgets is compiled.

oke, you should have a directory in the end like:

C:\wxWidgets-2.8.0\lib\vc_lib

With all the libs inside.
