Hi Jeremy,

You hit the nail on the head. Upon created a new user account the first thing I 
did was to execute xclock from the terminal. It appeared. I then ssh -X into 
the HPC and loaded the required software. It appeared. 

Now all I need to do is work out why XQuartz doesn't work on the Admin account. 
But at least I can still get back to doing work now :)

Try creating a new user account to see if it's maybe something in your current 
user's configuration.
