Yep, they're basically the same. I've used both. Sensitivity will not be a problem with either. I haven't tried feeding APRS data into either model. I use my phone for that now (KISS via Bluetooth). I got ten 64s on a grant for SAR a few months ago. I have Garmin 24k Topo on them, as well as the WA DNR Garmin set, and these raster maps: http://desolation-software-llc.myshopify.com/collections/gps-sd-cards/products/washington-map-card I can get you the contact at WA DNR if you are interested in their Garmin distribution. IMO, it's not all that valuable, at least in the National Forest areas I've spot checked it. Naturally, it might be better on state land.
