Now you got me interested - i have a first-gen VX-8 DR . The only thing i know from disseminating the interface back then is: 9600 baud 3.3v - non-standard NMEA, stupid "interpreter" looking for positions in the strings rather than finding the commas...

It's a nice hack, but i just need the radio operable, not in clone mode.

Did yaesu finally come to grips with that thing on the GR ?

Where would i find documentation for this?
