[Xastir] Xastir without a GPS

In a fixed station the coordinates given in the configuration can be used to 
send its position and tell the others that the station is alive.
I noted that if a GPS is not connected to the program, when starting Xastir 
a first packet with these coordinates is sent out on the air, but no more.
A way exists to tell the system to continue to resent the packet with the 
station position (eventually with a lower rate), even if a GPS is not 
connected?
