Heince,
Here's whats happening in my environment (after i copied the dracut
directory and pkglists from rh!).
When i try to genimage the compute profile:
packimage -o centos5.2 -p compute -a x86_64
[root@xcat centos]# ./genimage -i eth0 -n e1000,bnx2 -o centos6 -p compute
yum -y -c /tmp/genimage.10038.yum.conf
--installroot=/install/netboot/centos6/x86_64/compute/rootimg/
--disablerepo=* --enablerepo=centos6-x86_64-0 install bash
dracut-network nfs-utils openssl dhclient kernel openssh-server
openssh-clients wget vim-minimal ntp rpm rsync rsyslog
centos6-x86_64-0
| 3.7 kB 00:00 ...

Complete!
cat: write error: Broken pipe
cat: write error: Broken pipe
cat: write error: Broken pipe
the initial ramdisk for statelite is generated successfully.
cat: write error: Broken pipe
cat: write error: Broken pipe
cat: write error: Broken pipe
And when i run genimage on the "kvm" profile:
"couldn't find the kernel file matched 2.6.32-71.29.1.el6.x86_64 in
/install/netboot/centos6/x86_64/kvm/rootimg/boot at ./genimage line
62."
FYI, this is what i did:
- copied dracut from "rh" to "centos"
- created some symlinks on centos/:
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 27 Jul 28 13:36 compute.pkglist ->
../rh/compute.rhel6.pkglist
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 24 Jul 28 13:35 kvm.pkglist ->
../rh/kvm.rhels6.pkglist
Any thoughts?
Thanks,
Luis
