Hi,
So eliminating possible problems,
I tested the install process using a CentOS 5.8 management node with xCAT
2.6.10 and came up with the same error. So version compatibility is not the
problem.

The problem may be in the hardware, or the settings for the kernel.
This issue looks like it may be the solution.
https://access.redhat.com/knowledge/ja/node/7636

"either disable the "USB legacy support" in the BIOS or to use the "noapic" as
a kernel boot time option"
kernel usb-handoff acpi=off

Where should I set these options in xCAT?

Thanks in advance for any assistance.
Regards,
Marianne.
