Something seems to have gone badly wrong with the App Store install this time.
The Updates tab says Xcode 7.3.1 was installed yesterday. The horror-show Lunchpad has a blue dot next to Xcode icon (indicates a new download/install). That would be all-well-and-good, save for the facts that: - the App Store’s Purchases tab says Xcode is not installed (the ‘Install’ button is hot) - the Xcode icon in my Dock has a black question mark superimposed on it. - the Finder Preview pane says that /Applications/Xcode.app is version 7.2.x - launching Xcode from Lunchpad (since this seems to think it’s got a link to the new install) launches the 7.2 and not 7.3.1 I’ve now gone and clicked the ‘Install’ button in the Purchases tab, and am awaiting a 3.80GB download (so presumably that’s a delta?). I’m not sure what lesson I’ve learned from this. I’m reluctant to do direct downloads from the developer site, both due to speed and the worry of getting the all-too frequent ‘this download could not be verified’ glitch (had that again yesterday on something else and my voodoo trick of playing with timezones did not solve it; only going through a VPN did). Yawn. Phil _______________________________________________ Do not post admin requests to the list. They will be ignored.
