I'm presently using a galaxy s, but looking forward to the raft of 'Pixel Qi' displays/mini tablets coming out in the next couple of months. The 'ZTE Light 2' especially looks really promising as a glide computer.

Unfortunately, I havn't made a real flight with the Streak yet. I have tried it in full sunlight on Saturday, and I must say, the Streak has the very best sunlight-readable display I have ever seen. Nothing comes close, not even the Altair! Everything is perfectly readable. Direct sunlight improves the readability, because the display is transflective. Transflectivity is an absolute must for us gliderpilots. Other modern display technologies (such as Super-AMOLED) show saturated colors in dark rooms, but fail in sunlight. I wish I could show you a photo of the Streak, but I could not find a camera that is able to record the contrast in sunlight. Max P.S.: I have bought the original Dell car mount, and my father is going to modify it as a cockpit mount (remove the vacuum cup, screw the swan neck into the instrument panel) - will publish information about it when it's finished. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ ------ Colocation vs. Managed Hosting A question and answer guide to determining the best fit for your organization - today and in the future. http://p.sf.net/sfu/internap-sfd2d _______________________________________________ Xcsoar-user mailing list Xcsoar-user@lists.sourceforge.net https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/xcsoar-user This electronic communication, which includes any files or attachments thereto, contains proprietary or confidential information and may be privileged and otherwise protected under copyright or other applicable intellectual property laws.
