I just wanted to defend Android responsivnes a little bit. I use HTC
Desire as my primary phone and don't have any problems with speed.
Last time I played with an iPad I didn't notice it being substantially
more responsive. Maybe when you use iPxx you get spoiled and notice
some lag on the Android devices. In general for XCsoar it doesn't
matter that much. I'm sure Android can be quick and battery effective
enough even for a complex application like XCsoar.

It might not be an easy task, and the code base might have to
divert.... I'm quite curious how much. XCsoar is very remarkable to
support WinMo, Win32, Android and maybe even desktop Linux from the
same codebase.

What matters the most for XCS is the variety of Android manufacturers
and form factors . That is great. And we're all really lucky that Max
is working on a stable port. Thanks a lot.
