Hi John,
thanks for the speedy reply...
To your answers:
to 1) ok I understand
to 2) still unresolved - the difference between final glide bar and arrival
height displayed next to the landing field under the influence of wind are more
than 10% and therefore are unlikely to be caused by rounding errors.
to 3) ok great
to 4) why doesn't the drop marker function work anymore by pressing left key in
6.10 (worked in 6.010).
to 5) yes in version 6.010 on my IPAQ3870 gestures could be enabled / disabled,
not however in version 6.10.
to 6) in version 6.010 one could lock the system settings during flight by
enabling the safety lock feature, preventing an accidental change of key
parameters during flight
to 7) circling wind calculation definetly seem to be buggy. In previous
versions
i.e. 6.010 the values were never so far off in comparison the my onboard LX7000.
Please note all my observations apply to the PPC2000 version running on
IPAQ3870.
Again thanks a lot for looking into it... let me know if I can help / run tests
/ provide more information etc.
Cheers,
Sascha

Slight differences will occur due to approximations used in the arrival height
display.
2) Same as above, but now with wind unequal to 0. Here the final glide bar
shows a lower value than the arrival height display. That I don't understand,
since I also expected the values to be equal (straigth line). Could you
explain
this too please?

Can't, but it will be available to turn off in the next version.
4) With my IPAQ 3870 I used to be able to "drop markers" by pressing left on
the
central button. It doesn't work any more (used to work in 6.09)?

In the configuration (setup) dialog: "enable gestures"
6) How to turn off / on safety lock?
What safety lock?

What Every C/C++ and Fortran developer Should Know!
Read this article and learn how Intel has extended the reach of its
next-generation tools to help Windows* and Linux* C/C++ and Fortran
