For club gliders i usually use the built in GPS, otherwise i connect it to FLARM and a gliding computer. FLARM to see other gliders in XCSoar and the gliding computer basically for the airspeed and wind calculation. I use two selfmade bluetooth adapters based on the LMX9838. They have a pretty small form factor, about twice a RJ45 connector, and are directly attached to a RJ45 plug. One is connected to the FLARM, the other one to my old LX5000. Never had any problems in flight. But you have to set up the correct baudrate, which in my case is done by programming the bluetooth adapter.
