There was a brief discussion on IRC, but maybe you missed it :) It's a very
cool feature but I have some reservations, especially about switching to an
external application and back as I understand once we hand over to another
application there's no way to prevent Android closing XCSoar to gain extra
memory, which could for example be triggered by viewing a large PDF. Maybe
I'm wrong though. :)
Can you create a trac ticket / post on xcsoar-devel / join the IRC channel
again to discuss?
Thanks
Simon

11:30 < wbu> hi
11:31 < wbu> i just uploaded the support for images, pdf files etc. for
waypoints i was talking about some time ago into my git.
11:31 < wbu> any feedback is appreciated
11:32 < wbu> there is even a little bit of documentation included ;)
11:33 < wbu> and this removes the google-XXX.jpg and modis-XXX.jpg feature.
is anyone using that?
11:35 < xtophe> where is your git?
11:35 <@cirrus> I'm not sure, that feature is ugly
11:36 <@cirrus> but some people even like ugly features ..
11:36 < wbu> http://git.xcsoar.org/cgit/hao/xcsoar.git/
11:37 < wbu> what is ugly about it? =)
11:50 < wbu> btw: something is not right with the current master. it
crashes on android:
11:50 < wbu> I/XCSoar (13133): Read registry settings F/XCSoar (13133):
assertion "src.defined()" failed: file "src/Screen/OpenGL/Canvas.cpp", line
598, function "stretch"
11:51 < apf> Same here
12:25 < staylo> wbu: Looks interesting! I know the powered folk would love
this :) How's the stability when switching to an external PDF viewer and
back?
13:03 < xtophe> wbu: can you have several image/file per tp
13:03 < xtophe> wbu: can you give a title to the image/files?
