I had that myself. I always expected xcsoar to die when i look at a  
pdf in flight, but it never happend. Please note that the image viewer  
is still built into xcsoar. No external application involved here.

I'll create a ticket for futher discussions. So no more spamming of  
xcsoar-user.

Up to five images. Unlimited other files. But the limit is really ease  
to change.
