You would have to do a negative G manoeuvre, like a slow roll, to get 
the display to rotate :-0.

Unless you are holding the device by hand in the cockpit, which is 
probably not recommended.

I have never managed to trigger an Android bug on my Dell by rotating it 
with XCSoar running - on the ground not in the air! So disabling this is 
not a feature that would be required on all devices.

PS: On a lighter note, maybe the USA competition rules committee would 
judge this to be a feature which "allows flight without reference to the 
ground" ;-)
