The easiest solution would be mapping the keys to actually keyboard
keys which are already handled by XCSoar. You can test that by
installing XCSoar on your desktop computer and then playing around
with the keyboard instead of the mouse. Since XCSoar also runs on the
Altair which has no touchscreen, it should work entirely without the
mouse.
